An important note regarding this die and strike. So far, based on a search of all known types of the Chattara type, this coin has been struck from an unknown die variant. At a casual glance this coin looks like it has been double struck, due to the double heads shown for the King and the attendant. However, instead of a double strike, a careful examination of the coin shows that this double head design was indeed carved into the original die used to strike this particular coin. IF the coin was double struck, you would see additional indication of the double strike over the rest of the coin. i.e., it is impossible to have a doubling of the head of King and the head of the Attendant and not have a double impression of the area in between - the left shoulder/arm of the King, the left side of the King's halo etc. A truly unique coin.
