King Kumaragupta is shown with a Sword on his left side. The title here does not refer to him either as a raja or a dhiraja. The reverse does not show his royal biruda, rather only shows his name - Sri Kumaraguptah.
Circular legend on the Obverse: Gamavajitya sucharitaih kumaragupta divam jayati - "having conquered the earth, Kumaragupta wins the heavens by his meritorious deeds".
